We may clear away even four or five baskets of straw or of produce to make room for guests or to avoid curtailment of study, but not a storehouse. We may clear away terumah that is tahor; demai; first tithe whose terumah has been separated from it; second tithe and consecrated property that have been re-deemed; and dry lupine, because it is food for the poor. But [we may] not [clear away] untithed produce; nor first tithe whose terumah has not been separated [from it]; nor second tithe nor consecrated property that have not been redeemed; nor colocasia; nor mustard. Rabban Shimon ben Gamliel permits colocasia, since it is food for ravens.

All utensil covers which have handles may be taken on the Sabbath. Said R’ Yose: When is this said? Regarding a cover of [a hole in] the ground; but regarding covers of utensils, in either case we may take them on the Sabbath.
