[If there were] two boxes, one of terumah and one of chullin, and a seah of terumah fell into one of them, and it is not known into which of them it fell —- I say: It fell into the [box] of terumah. [If] it is not known which [of the boxes] was of teru-mah and which was of chullin —- [if] he ate one of them, he is ex-empt. The second [box] is treated as terumah, and it is subject to challah obligations. [These are] the words of R' Meir. But R' Yose exempts it. [If] another person ate the second [box], he is exempt. [If] one person ate both of them, he pays according to the smaller of the two.

. [If] one of them fell into chullin, it does not make them a meduma mixture. The second [box] is treated as terumah, and it is subject to challah obligations. [These are the] words of R' Meir. But R' Yose exempts. [If] the second falls to another place, it does not make them a meduma mixture. [If] they both fell to one place, they make a meduma mixture according to [the size of] the smaller of the two.
