אַסְפַּקְלַרְיָא — טְהוֹרָה. וְתַמְחוּי שֶׁעֲשָׂאוֹ אַסְפַּקְלַרְיָא — טָמֵא. וְאִם מִתְּחִלָּה עֲשָׂאוֹ לְשֵׁם אַסְפַּקְלַרְיָא — טָהוֹר.
תַּרְוָד שֶׁהוּא נוֹתְנוֹ עַל הַשֻּׁלְחָן, אִם מְקַבֵּל כָּל שֶׁהוּא — טָמֵא, וְאִם לָאו — רַבִּי עֲקִיבָא מְטַמֵּא, רַבִּי יוֹחָנָן בֶּן נוּרִי מְטַהֵר.
A looking glass is tahor. But a [glass] dish that one made into a looking glass is tamei. But if [the dish] was originally made to serve as a looking glass, it is tahor.
[Regarding] a spoon that one places on the table, if it can contain any [minute] amount, it is tamei. But if not, R’ Akiva rules [it] tamei. [But] R’ Yochanan ben Nuri rules [it] tahor.
