Musical lyres are tamei. But the lyres of the Levites are tahor. All liquids are tamei. But the liquids of the butchering place are tahor. All scrolls contaminate the hands, except the scroll of the Temple courtyard. A theater horse is tahor. [As for] a sitar, a niktamon, and a tambourine, these are tamei. R’ Yehudah says: A tambourine is [susceptible to the] tumah of the seat, because the woman-wailer sits on it. A weasel trap is tamei. But a mousetrap is tahor.
