Menachos13: 4
„הֲרֵי עָלַי זָהָב“ — לֹא יִפְחֹת מִדִּינַר זָהָב. „כֶּסֶף“ — לֹא יִפְחֹת מִדִּינַר כֶּסֶף. „נְחֹשֶׁת“ — לֹא יִפְחֹת מִמָּעָה כֶסֶף. „פֵּרַשְׁתִּי, וְאֵינִי יוֹדֵעַ מַה פֵּרַשְׁתִּי“ — הוּא מֵבִיא עַד שֶׁיֹּאמַר: „לֹא לְכָךְ נִתְכַּוַּנְתִּי.“
[If one said,] ‘‘I take upon myself [to bring] gold’’ — he may not bring less than a dinar of gold. ‘‘Silver’’ — he may not bring less than a dinar of silver. ‘‘Copper’’ — he may not bring less than [the equivalent of] a maah of silver. ‘‘I specified, but I do not know what I specified’’ — he must bring until he [can] say, ‘‘I did not intend this."
Menachos13: 5
„הֲרֵי עָלַי יַיִן“ — לֹא יִפְחֹת מִשְּׁלֹשָׁה לֻגִּין. „שֶׁמֶן“ — לֹא יִפְחֹת מִלֹּג. רַבִּי אוֹמֵר: שְׁלֹשָׁה לֻגִּין. „פֵּרַשְׁתִּי, וְאֵינִי יוֹדֵעַ מַה פֵּרַשְׁתִּי“ — יָבִיא כְיוֹם הַמְרֻבֶּה.
[If he said,] ‘‘I take upon myself [to bring] wine’’ — he may not bring less than three lugin. ‘‘Oil’’ — he may not bring less than a log. Rebbi says: Three lugin. ‘‘I specified, but I do not know what I specified’’ — he must bring like [the amount brought] on the day with the greatest [requirement].
