בְּהֵמָה שֶׁנּוֹלְדָה בְיוֹם טוֹב, הַכֹּל מוֹדִים שֶׁהִיא מֻתֶּרֶת. וְאֶפְרוֹחַ שֶׁיָּצָא מִן הַבֵּיצָה, הַכֹּל מוֹדִים שֶׁהוּא אָסוּר.
הַשּׁוֹחֵט חַיָּה וְעוֹף בְּיוֹם טוֹב, בֵּית שַׁמַּאי אוֹמְרִים: יַחְפֹּר בְּדֶקֶר וִיכַסֶּה. וּבֵית הִלֵּל אוֹמְרִים: לֹא יִשְׁחֹט אֶלָּא אִם כֵּן הָיָה לוֹ עָפָר מוּכָן. וּמוֹדִים שֶׁאִם שָׁחַט, שֶׁיַּחְפֹּר בְּדֶקֶר וִיכַסֶּה. שֶׁאֵפֶר כִּירָה מוּכָן הוּא.
[But in the case of] an animal that was born on Yom Tov, all agree that it is permitted. And [in the case of] a chick that hatched from an egg [on Yom Tov], all agree that it is prohibited.
If one slaughters a wild animal or a fowl on Yom Tov, Beis Shammai say: He may dig [up some earth] with a spade and cover [the blood]. But Beis Hillel say: He may not slaughter unless he has earth prepared [from before Yom Tov]. But [Beis Hil-lel] agree that if he had already slaughtered, he should dig [up some earth] with [the] spade and cover [the blood with it].
For the ashes of a stove are “prepared.”

בֵּית שַׁמַּאי אוֹמְרִים: הֶבְקֵר לָעֲנִיִּים הֶבְקֵר. וּבֵית הִלֵּל אוֹמְרִים: אֵינוֹ הֶבְקֵר עַד שֶׁיֻּבְקַר אַף לָעֲשִׁירִים, כִּשְׁמִטָּה.
כָּל עָמְרֵי הַשָּׂדֶה שֶׁל קַב קַב, וְאֶחָד שֶׁל אַרְבָּעָה קַבִּין, וּשְׁכָחוֹ, בֵּית שַׁמַּאי אוֹמְרִים: אֵינוֹ שִׁכְחָה, וּבֵית הִלֵּל אוֹמְרִים: שִׁכְחָה.
Beis Shammai say: [Produce declared] owner-less for the poor [becomes] ownerless. But Beis Hillel say: It is not ownerless un-less it is declared ownerless with respect to the rich as well, as [is the case with] Shemittah.
[If] all the sheaves of the field are each [the size] of one kav, and one is [the size] of four kavs, and he forgot that large [sheaf], Beis Shammai say that it is not [treated as] shich'chah, but Beis Hillel say that it is shich'chah.
