A woman can be betrothed with a dinar or with something worth a dinar according to the view of Beis Shammai. But Beis Hillel say: with a pe-rutah or something worth a perutah. And how much is a perutah worth? One eighth of an Italian isar. Beis Shammai say: One may divorce his wife by [giving her] an “old get”; but Beis Hillel pro-hibit [this]. What is an “old get”? Any time he secludes himself with her after he wrote [the get] for her. One who divorces his wife and [then] she lodges with him in an inn, Beis Shammai say: She does not need a second get from him. But Beis Hillel say: She does need a second get from him. When? When she was divorced from nisuin; but if she was divorced from erusin, [they agree that] she does not need a second get from him, because he does not feel at ease with her.
