Nedarim3: 10
הַנּוֹדֵר מִ,,שּׁוֹבְתֵי שַׁבָּת” — אָסוּר בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל וְאָסוּר בַּכּוּתִים; מֵ,,אוֹכְלֵי שׁוּם” — אָסוּר בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל וְאָסוּר בַּכּוּתִים; מֵ,,עוֹלֵי יְרוּשָׁלַיִם” אָסוּר בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל, וּמֻתָּר בַּכּוּתִים.
One who makes a neder prohibiting “those who rest on the Sabbath” is forbidden to [benefit from] Jews and forbidden to [benefit from] Cutheans; [if] “those who eat garlic” —- he is forbidden to [benefit from] Jews and forbidden to [benefit from] Cutheans; [if] “the pilgrims to Jerusalem” —- he is forbidden to [benefit from] Jews, but permitted to [benefit from] Cutheans.
Nedarim3: 11
,,קוֹנָם שֶׁאֵינִי נֶהֱנֶה לִבְנֵי נֹחַ” — מֻתָּר בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל, וְאָסוּר בְּאֻמּוֹת הָעוֹלָם; ,,שֶׁאֵינִי נֶהֱנֶה לְזֶרַע אַבְרָהָם” — אָסוּר בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל, וּמֻתָּר בְּאֻמּוֹת הָעוֹלָם. ,,שֶׁאֵינִי נֶהֱנֶה לְיִשְׂרָאֵל — לוֹקֵחַ בְּיוֹתֵר וּמוֹכֵר בְּפָחוֹת; ,,שֶׁיִּשְׂרָאֵל נֶהֱנִין לִי” — לוֹקֵחַ בְּפָחוֹת וּמוֹכֵר בְּיוֹתֵר, אִם שׁוֹמְעִין לוֹ; ,,שֶׁאֵינִי נֶהֱנֶה לָהֶן, וְהֵן לִי” — יַהֲנֶה לַנָּכְרִים.  ,,קוֹנָם שֶׁאֵינִי נֶהֱנֶה לָ'עֲרֵלִים' ” מֻתָּר בְּעַרְלֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל, וְאָסוּר בְּמוּלֵי הָאֻמּוֹת; ,,קוֹנָם שֶׁאֵינִי נֶהֱנֶה לַ'מּוּלִים' ” — אָסוּר בְּעַרְלֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל, וּמֻתָּר בְּמוּלֵי הָאֻמּוֹת, שֶׁאֵין הָעָרְלָה קְרוּיָה אֶלָּא לְשֵׁם הַגּוֹיִם, שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר ,,כִּי כָל הַגּוֹיִם עֲרֵלִים וְכָל בֵּית יִשְׂרָאֵל עַרְלֵי לֵב”, וְאוֹמֵר: ,,וְהָיָה הַפְּלִשְׁתִּי הֶעָרֵל הַזֶּה . . .”, וְאוֹמֵר: ,,פֶּן תִּשְׂמַחְנָה בְּנוֹת פְּלִשְׁתִּים, פֶּן תַּעֲלֹזְנָה בְּנוֹת הָעֲרֵלִים”.  רַבִּי אֶלְעָזָר בֶּן עֲזַרְיָה אוֹמֵר, מְאוּסָה הָעָרְלָה, שֶׁנִּתְגַּנּוּ בָהּ הָרְשָׁעִים, שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר, ,,כִּי כָל הַגּוֹיִם עֲרֵלִים”.  רַבִּי יִשְׁמָעֵאל אוֹמֵר: גְּדוֹלָה מִילָה, שֶׁנִּכְרְתוּ עָלֶיהָ שְׁלֹשׁ עֶשְׂרֵה בְרִיתוֹת.  רַבִּי יוֹסֵי אוֹמֵר: גְּדוֹלָה מִילָה, שֶׁדּוֹחָה אֶת הַשַּׁבָּת הַחֲמוּרָה.  רַבִּי יְהוֹשֻׁעַ בֶּן קָרְחָה אוֹמֵר: גְּדוֹלָה מִילָה, שֶׁלֹּא נִתְלָה לוֹ לְמֹשֶׁה הַצַּדִּיק עָלֶיהָ מְלֹא שָׁעָה.  רַבִּי נְחֶמְיָה אוֹמֵר: גְּדוֹלָה מִילָה, שֶׁדּוֹחָה אֶת הַנְּגָעִים.  רַבִּי אוֹמֵר: גְּדוֹלָה מִילָה, שֶׁכָּל הַמִּצְוֹת שֶׁעָשָׂה אַבְרָהָם אָבִינוּ — לֹא נִקְרָא ,,שָׁלֵם”, עַד שֶׁמָּל, שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר: ,,הִתְהַלֵּךְ לְפָנַי וֶהְיֵה תָמִים”.  דָּבָר אַחֵר, גְּדוֹלָה מִילָה, שֶׁאִלְמָלֵא הִיא — לֹא בָּרָא הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא אֶת עוֹלָמוֹ, שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר: ,,כֹּה אָמַר יְיָ: אִם לֹא בְרִיתִי יוֹמָם וָלָיְלָה, חֻקּוֹת שָׁמַיִם וָאָרֶץ לֹא שָׂמְתִּי”.
[If one says:] “Konam what I benefit from the descendants of Noah” —- he is permitted to [benefit from] Jews, but is forbidden to [benefit from] gentiles; “[Konam] what I benefit from the progeny of Abraham” —- he is forbidden to [benefit from] Jews, but is permitted to [benefit from] gentiles. “[Konam] what I benefit from Jews” —- he must buy for more, and sell for less; “[Konam] what Jews benefit from me” —- he must buy for less and sell for more, if they listen to him; “[Konam] what I benefit from them, and they from me” —- he may benefit gentiles.  [If one says:] “Konam what I benefit from `the uncircumcised' ” —- he is permitted to [benefit from] uncircumcised Jews, but forbidden to [benefit from] circumcised gentiles; “Konam what I benefit from `the circumcised' ” —- he is forbidden [to benefit] from uncircumcised Jews, but is permitted to [benefit from] circumcised gentiles, for the term orlah is used only as a general name for gentiles, as it says: For all the nations are uncircumcised, and the whole house of Israel are uncircumcised in the heart (Jeremiah 9:25), and it says: And this uncircumcised Philistine shall be ... (I Samuel 17:36), and it says: Lest the daughters of the Philistines rejoice, lest the daughters of the uncircumcised be jubilant (II Samuel 1:20).  R' Elazar ben Azariah says: Detestable is the fore-skin, for with it the wicked are disparaged, as it says: For all the nations are uncircumcised (Jeremiah 9:25).  R' Yishmael says: Great is circumcision, for concerning it thirteen covenants were made.  R' Yose says: Great is circumcision which overrides the strict Sabbath. R' Yehoshua ben Korchah says: Great is circumcision, for concerning it even Moses, the righteous one, was not spared for one hour.  R' Nechemiah says: Great is circumcision which overrides negaim.  Rabbi says: Great is circumcision, for [despite] all the precepts which our forefathers Abraham fulfilled, he was not called “complete” until he circumcised [himself], as it says: “Walk before Me and be perfect” (Genesis 17:1).  Another thing: Great is circumcision, for if not for it the Holy One —- Blessed is He —- would not have created His world, as it says: “So says Hashem: If not for My covenant day and night, the laws of heaven and earth I would not have put [in place] (Jeremiah 33:25).
Nedarim4: 1
אֵין בֵּין הַמֻּדָּר הֲנָאָה מֵחֲבֵרוֹ לַמֻּדָּר הֵימֶנּוּ מַאֲכָל, אֶלָּא דְרִיסַת הָרֶגֶל וְכֵלִים שֶׁאֵין עוֹשִׂין בָּהֶן אֹכֶל נֶפֶשׁ.  הַמֻּדָּר מַאֲכָל מֵחֲבֵרוֹ — לֹא יַשְׁאִילֶנּוּ נָפָה וּכְבָרָה וְרֵחַיִם וְתַנּוּר; אֲבָל מַשְׁאִיל לוֹ חָלוּק וְטַבַּעַת וְטַלִּית וּנְזָמִים, וְכָל דָּבָר שֶׁאֵין עוֹשִׂין בּוֹ אֹכֶל נֶפֶשׁ. מְקוֹם שֶׁמַּשְׂכִּירִין כַּיּוֹצֵא בָהֶן — אָסוּר.
There are no [differences] between someone prohibited by a neder to benefit from another and someone prohibited by a neder to derive food-related benefits from him, except for treading by foot and utensils not used for food.  Someone prohibited by a neder from deriving food-[related benefits] from another should not lend him a flour-sieve, a grain-sieve, a mill, or an oven; but he may lend him a shirt, a ring, a cloak, earrings, and anything not used for food. [In] a place where things like these are rented, it is prohibited.
Nedarim4: 2
הַמֻּדָּר הֲנָאָה מֵחֲבֵרוֹ — שׁוֹקֵל [לוֹ] אֶת שִׁקְלוֹ, וּפוֹרֵעַ אֶת חוֹבוֹ, וּמַחֲזִיר לוֹ אֶת אֲבֵדָתוֹ. מָקוֹם שֶׁנּוֹטְלִין עָלֶיהָ שָׂכָר — תִּפּוֹל הֲנָאָה לַהֶקְדֵּשׁ.
Someone prohibited by a neder to benefit from another —- [the latter] may contribute his half shekel [for him], pay his debt, and return his lost article to him. [In] a place where [people] take a reward for this, the benefit should go to the Temple.
Nedarim4: 3
וְתוֹרֵם אֶת תְּרוּמָתוֹ וּמַעְשְׂרוֹתָיו לְדַעְתּוֹ, וּמַקְרִיב עָלָיו קִנֵּי זָבִין, קִנֵּי זָבוֹת, קִנֵּי יוֹלְדוֹת, חַטָּאוֹת וַאֲשָׁמוֹת.  וּמְלַמְּדוֹ מִדְרָשׁ, הֲלָכוֹת, וְאַגָּדוֹת, אֲבָל לֹא יְלַמְּדֶנּוּ מִקְרָא; אֲבָל מְלַמֵּד הוּא אֶת בָּנָיו וְאֶת בְּנוֹתָיו מִקְרָא.  וְזָן אֶת אִשְׁתּוֹ וְאֶת בָּנָיו, אַף עַל פִּי שֶׁהוּא חַיָּב בִּמְזוֹנוֹתֵיהֶם. וְלֹא יָזוּן אֶת בְּהֶמְתּוֹ, בֵּין טְמֵאָה בֵּין טְהוֹרָה. רַבִּי אֱלִיעֶזֶר אוֹמֵר: זָן אֶת הַטְּמֵאָה, וְאֵינוֹ זָן אֶת הַטְּהוֹרָה. אָמְרוּ לוֹ: מַה בֵּין טְמֵאָה לִטְהוֹרָה? אָמַר לָהֶן: שֶׁהַטְּהוֹרָה — נַפְשָׁהּ לַשָּׁמַיִם וְגוּפָהּ שֶׁלּוֹ, וּטְמֵאָה — נַפְשָׁהּ וְגוּפָהּ לַשָּׁמַיִם. אָמְרוּ לוֹ: אַף הַטְּמֵאָה נַפְשָׁהּ לַשָּׁמַיִם וְגוּפָהּ שֶׁלּוֹ, שֶׁאִם יִרְצֶה — הֲרֵי הוּא מוֹכְרָהּ לַגּוֹיִם אוֹ מַאֲכִילָהּ לַכְּלָבִים.
He may separate his terumah and tithes with his knowledge, and he may sacrifice for him [the bird-offerings of zavin, zavos, and postpartum women, [and the] sin-offerings and guilt-offerings [of metzoraim].  He may teach him Midrash, Halachos, and Agga- dos, but he may not teach him Scripture; however, he may teach his sons and his daughters Scripture.  He may feed his wife and children, even though he is obligated in their sustenance.  However, he may not feed his animal, whether [it be] nonkosher or kosher. R' Eliezer says: He may feed the nonkosher one, but not the kosher one.  They said to him: What is the difference between a kosher and a nonkosher [animal]? He said to them: For the kosher one's soul belongs to heaven, but its body belongs to him; whereas the nonkosher one —- [both] its soul and body belong to heaven. They said to him: Even the nonkosher one —- its soul belongs to heaven, but its body belongs to him, for, if he wants, he can sell it to a non-Jew or feed it to dogs.
Nedarim4: 4
הַמֻּדָּר הֲנָאָה מֵחֲבֵרוֹ, וְנִכְנַס לְבַקְּרוֹ — עוֹמֵד, אֲבָל לֹא יוֹשֵׁב.  וּמְרַפְּאֵהוּ רְפוּאַת נֶפֶשׁ, אֲבָל לֹא רְפוּאַת מָמוֹן. וְרוֹחֵץ עִמּוֹ בְּאַמְבָּטִי גְדוֹלָה, אֲבָל לֹא בִקְטַנָּה.  וְיָשֵׁן עִמּוֹ בַּמִּטָּה. רַבִּי יְהוּדָה אוֹמֵר: בִּימוֹת הַחַמָּה, אֲבָל לֹא בִימוֹת הַגְּשָׁמִים, מִפְּנֵי שֶׁהוּא מַהֲנֵהוּ. וּמֵסֵב עִמּוֹ עַל הַמִּטָּה.  וְאוֹכֵל עִמּוֹ עַל הַשֻּׁלְחָן, אֲבָל לֹא מִן הַתַּמְחוּי; אֲבָל אוֹכֵל הוּא עִמּוֹ מִן הַתַּמְחוּי הַחוֹזֵר. לֹא יֹאכַל עִמּוֹ מִן הָאֵבוּס שֶׁלִּפְנֵי הַפּוֹעֲלִים.  וְלֹא יַעֲשֶׂה עִמּוֹ בָאֹמֶן; דִּבְרֵי רַבִּי מֵאִיר. וַחֲכָמִים אוֹמְרִים: עוֹשֶׂה הוּא בְרָחוֹק מִמֶּנּוּ.
[If] someone was prohibited by a neder to benefit from another, and [the latter] entered to visit him, he may stand, but not sit.  He may afford him a healing of [his] person, but not a healing of [his] property. He may bathe with him in a large pool, but not in a small one.  He may sleep with him on the [same] bed. R' Yehudah says: In the summer, but not in the winter, for [then] he benefits him. But he may recline with him on the bed.  He may eat with him on the [same] table, but not from the [same] plate; however, he may eat with him from a plate which goes back [to the host]. He may not eat with him from the workers' food bowl.  He may not work with him on the same row; [these are] the words of R' Meir. The Sages, however, say: He may work far from him.
Nedarim4: 5
הַמֻּדָּר הֲנָאָה מֵחֲבֵרוֹ לִפְנֵי שְׁבִיעִית — לֹא יוֹרֵד לְתוֹךְ שָׂדֵהוּ, וְאֵינוֹ אוֹכֵל מִן הַנּוֹטוֹת. וּבַשְּׁבִיעִית — אֵינוֹ יוֹרֵד לְתוֹךְ שָׂדֵהוּ, אֲבָל אוֹכֵל הוּא מִן הַנּוֹטוֹת.  נָדַר הֵימֶנּוּ מַאֲכָל לִפְנֵי שְׁבִיעִית — יוֹרֵד לְתוֹךְ שָׂדֵהוּ, וְאֵינוֹ אוֹכֵל מִן הַפֵּרוֹת; וּבַשְּׁבִיעִית — יוֹרֵד וְאוֹכֵל.
Someone prohibited by a neder made prior to Shemittah to benefit from another may not enter his field, and may not eat overhanging fruit. However [if the neder was made] in Shemittah, he may not enter his field, but he may eat from the overhanging fruit.  [If] prior to Shemittah, he made a neder prohibiting food-related benefits, he may enter the field, but may not eat the fruits; [if he made the neder] in Shemittah, he may enter [the field] and eat.
Nedarim4: 6
הַמֻּדָּר הֲנָאָה מֵחֲבֵרוֹ — לֹא יַשְׁאִילֶנּוּ, וְלֹא יִשְׁאַל מִמֶּנּוּ; לֹא יַלְוֶנּוּ, וְלֹא יִלְוֶה מִמֶּנּוּ; וְלֹא יִמְכּוֹר לוֹ, וְלֹא יִקַּח מִמֶּנּוּ.  אָמַר לוֹ: ,,הַשְׁאִילֵנִי פָּרָתָךְ”. אָמַר לוֹ: ,,אֵינָהּ פְּנוּיָה”. אָמַר: ,,קוֹנָם שָׂדִי שֶׁאֲנִי חוֹרֵשׁ בָּהּ לְעוֹלָם”. אִם הָיָה דַּרְכּוֹ לַחֲרוֹשׁ — הוּא אָסוּר, וְכָל אָדָם מֻתָּרִין; אִם אֵין דַּרְכּוֹ לַחֲרוֹשׁ — הוּא וְכָל אָדָם אֲסוּרִין.
Someone prohibited by a neder to benefit from another shall not lend him, nor shall he borrow from him; he shall not lend him money, nor shall he borrow money from him; he shall not sell to him, nor shall he buy from him.  He said to him: “Lend me your vow.” He responded: “It is not available.” He said: “Konam, my field with respect to ever plowing [it] with it.” If it was his practice to plow, he is forbidden, but other people are permitted; if it is not his practice to plow, he and all [other] people are forbidden.
Nedarim4: 7
הַמֻּדָּר הֲנָאָה מֵחֲבֵרוֹ, וְאֵין לוֹ מַה יֹּאכַל — הוֹלֵךְ אֵצֶל הַחֶנְוָנִי, וְאוֹמֵר: ,,אִישׁ פְּלוֹנִי מֻדָּר מִמֶּנִּי הֲנָאָה, וְאֵינִי יוֹדֵעַ מָה אֶעֱשֶׂה”. וְהוּא נוֹתֵן לוֹ, וּבָא וְנוֹטֵל מִזֶּה.  הָיָה בֵיתוֹ לִבְנוֹת, גְּדֵרוֹ לִגְדּוֹר, שָׂדֵהוּ לִקְצוֹר — הוֹלֵךְ אֵצֶל הַפּוֹעֲלִים, וְאוֹמֵר: ,,אִישׁ פְּלוֹנִי מֻדָּר מִמֶּנִּי הֲנָאָה, וְאֵינִי יוֹדֵעַ מָה אֶעֱשֶׂה”. הֵם עוֹשִׂין עִמּוֹ, וּבָאִין וְנוֹטְלִין שָׂכָר מִזֶּה.
[If] someone is prohibited by a neder to benefit from another, and he does not have what to eat, [the other person] goes to the storekeeper, and says: “So-and-so is prohibited by a neder to benefit from me, and I don't know what to do.” He gives him, and collects from this one.  [If] he had a house to be built, a fence to be erected, [or] a field to be harvested, [the other person] goes to the workers, and says: “So-and-so is prohibited by a neder to benefit from me, and I don't know what to do.” They may work for him, and collect wages from this one.
Nedarim4: 8
הָיוּ מְהַלְּכִין בַּדֶּרֶךְ, וְאֵין לוֹ מַה יֹּאכַל — נוֹתֵן לְאַחֵר לְשׁוּם מַתָּנָה, וְהַלָּה מֻתָּר בָּהּ. אִם אֵין עִמָּהֶם אַחֵר — מַנִּיחַ עַל הַסֶּלַע אוֹ עַל הַגָּדֵר, וְאוֹמֵר: ,,הֲרֵי הֵן מֻפְקָרִים לְכָל מִי שֶׁיַּחְפּוֹץ”, וְהַלָּה נוֹטֵל וְאוֹכֵל; וְרַבִּי יוֹסֵי אוֹסֵר.
[If] they were traveling on the road, and he did not have what to eat, he gives [food] to someone else as a gift, and that one is permitted it. If there is no one else with them, he puts [it] on a rock or on a fence, and says: “These are free for whoever should want,” and that one takes and eats; R' Yose, however, forbids [this].
