Terumos5: 5
[If] a seah of terumah fell into a hundred [seahs of chullin, and] he lifted it [out] and it fell to another place, R' Eliezer says: It prohibits the mixture just as definite terumah does. But the Sages say: It does not prohibit the mixture except in proportion [to its terumah content].
Terumos5: 6
[If] a seah of terumah fell into less than one hundred, creating a meduma mixture, and [then a portion] fell from the meduma mixture to another place, R' Eliezer says: It makes the [new] mixture meduma just as definite teru- mah would. But the Sages say: A meduma mix-ture does not make another mixture meduma except in proportion [to its terumah content]; and [a batch of dough] that was leavened [with terumah] does not render [another dough] leavened [with terumah] except in proportion [to its terumah content]; and drawn water does not disqualify a ritual bath except according to proportion.
Terumos5: 7
[If] a seah of terumah fell into one hundred, [and] he lifted it out and another fell [in], [and] he lifted it [out] and another fell [in], it is permitted, until the terumah exceeds the chullin.
Terumos5: 8
[If] a seah of terumah fell into one hundred [seahs of chullin], and he did not manage to lift it out until another fell [in], it is forbidden. But R' Shimon permits.
Terumos5: 9
[If] a seah of terumah fell into one hundred [seahs of chullin], and he then milled them and they diminished, just as the chullin diminished, so did the terumah diminish, and it is permitted. [If] a seah of terumah fell into less than one hundred [seahs of chullin], and he milled them [together], and they increased, just as the chullin increased so did the terumah increase, and it is forbidden. [But] if it is known that the chullin wheat is of a higher grade than that of the terumah, it is permitted.
[If] a seah of terumah fell into less than one hundred [seahs of chullin], and afterwards [more] chullin fell there, if it was inadvertent, it is permitted; but if it was intentional, it is forbidden.
Terumos6: 1
[If] someone eats terumah by mistake, he pays the principal plus a fifth. Whether one eats, drinks, or anoints, whether it is te-rumah which is tahor or terumah which is tamei, he pays its fifth and a fifth of its fifth. He does not pay [with] terumah, but with tithed chullin, and these [tithed chullin] become terumah, and the payment is terumah. If the Kohen wanted to forgive [this payment], he cannot forgive [it].
Terumos6: 2
[If] the daughter of a non-Kohen [inadvertently] ate terumah and afterwards married a Kohen, if it was terumah which a Kohen had not yet acquired that she ate, she pays the principal and the [additional] fifth to herself. And if it was terumah which a Ko-hen had already acquired that she ate, [she] pays the principal to the owners, and the fifth to herself, because they said: Someone who eats terumah inadvertently, pays the principal to the owners, and the [additional] fifth to whomever he wants.
Terumos6: 3
[If] someone feeds his workers or his guests te-rumah, he pays the principal, and they pay the [additional] fifth. [These are the] words of R' Meir. But the Sages say: They pay the principal and the fifth, and he pays them the cost of their meal.
Terumos6: 4
[If] someone steals terumah but does not eat it, he pays the twofold payment [according to] the price of [the] terumah. If] he ate it, he pays two principals and a fifth: a principal plus a fifth from chullin, and a principal at the price of terumah. [If] he stole terumah that had been consecrated [to the Temple Treasury] and ate it, he pays two fifths and [one] principal, because with Temple property there is no twofold payment.
Terumos6: 5
They [who consumed terumah] may not pay with leket, with shich'chah, with pe'ah, or with ownerless produce; and not with maaser rishon whose terumah has been removed, and not with maaser sheini or consecrated produce that have been re-deemed, because holy property cannot [be used to] redeem holy property. [These are] the words of R' Meir. But the Sages permit [paying] with these.
Terumos6: 6
R' Eliezer says: They [who consumed terumah] may pay from one type [of produce] for [terumah of] another type, provided that he pays from superior quality [chullin produce] for inferior-quality [terumah]. But R' Akiva says: They cannot pay other than from one type [of chullin produce] for the same type [of terumah]. Therefore, if one ate gourds from the year before Shevi'is, he must wait for gourds from the year following Shevi'is and pay with them.
From the place that R' Eliezer [learns to be] lenient, from there R' Akiva [learns to be] strin-gent, for it is stated (Leviticus 22:14): “He shall give to the Kohen the holy”, — [connoting] anything that is fit to be holy. [These are the] words of R' Eliezer. But R' Akiva says: “He shall give to the Kohen the holy,” — [means] the holy that he ate.
Terumos7: 1
[If] someone eats terumah intentionally, he pays the principal but he does not pay the [additional] fifth. The payments are not sanctified; if the Kohen wants to forgive, he forgives.
Terumos7: 2
[If] the daughter of a Kohen married a Yisrael and afterwards ate terumah, she pays the principal but she does not pay the [additional] fifth, and her death [penalty] is by burning. [If] she was married to any one of the forbidden persons, she pays the principal plus a fifth; and her death [penalty] is by strangulation. [These are the] words of R' Meir. But the Sages say: This one and this one pay the principal and do not pay the [additional] fifth, and their death [penalty] is by burning.
Terumos7: 3
[If] one feeds [terumah to] his children [who are] minors, or [to] his slaves whether [they are] adults or minors, [or if] one eats terumah from outside the Land, or [if] one eats less than an olive's volume of terumah, he pays the principal but does not pay the [additional] fifth, and the payments are non-sacred; if the Kohen wishes to forgive [the payments], he may forgive [them].
Terumos7: 4
This is the rule: Whenever a person pays the principal plus a fifth, the payment is terumah; if the Kohen wants to forgive [it], he cannot forgive [it]. And whenever a person pays the principal and does not pay the [additional] fifth, the payments are nonsacred; if the Kohen wants to forgive [it], he may forgive [it].
Terumos7: 5
[If there were] two boxes, one of terumah and one of chullin, and a seah of terumah fell into one of them, and it is not known into which of them it fell —- I say: It fell into the [box] of terumah.
[If] it is not known which [of the boxes] was of teru-mah and which was of chullin —- [if] he ate one of them, he is ex-empt. The second [box] is treated as terumah, and it is subject to challah obligations. [These are] the words of R' Meir. But R' Yose exempts it. [If] another person ate the second [box], he is exempt. [If] one person ate both of them, he pays according to the smaller of the two.
Terumos7: 6
. [If] one of them fell into chullin, it does not make them a meduma mixture. The second [box] is treated as terumah, and it is subject to challah obligations. [These are the] words of R' Meir. But R' Yose exempts.
[If] the second falls to another place, it does not make them a meduma mixture. [If] they both fell to one place, they make a meduma mixture according to [the size of] the smaller of the two.
