Someone who finds a corpse for the first time, lying in its usual manner, may remove it along with its surrounding earth. [If] he found two [corpses], he may remove them along with their surrounding earth. [If] he found three [corpses]: if [the distance] between this one and that one is from four to eight cubits, it is a graveyard zone. He must search from there outward [a distance of] twenty cubits. If he found one at the end of twenty cubits, he searches from there outward [a distance of] twenty cubits, for the matter is indicated, although had he found it at first he would have removed it together with its surrounding earth.
