If traps for animals, birds, or fish were set prior to Yom Tov, one may not take from them on Yom Tov, unless he knows that they were trapped before Yom Tov. There was an incident with a certain gentile who brought fish to Rabban Gamliel, and he said, ‘‘They may be eaten, but I do not want to accept [a present] from him.’’
