הַמּוֹצִיא אֳכָלִין וּנְתָנָן עַל הָאִסְקֻפָּה, בֵּין שֶׁחָזַר וְהוֹצִיאָן בֵּין שֶׁהוֹצִיאָן אַחֵר, פָּטוּר, מִפְּנֵי שֶׁלֹּא עָשָׂה מְלַאכְתּוֹ בְּבַת אַחַת. קֻפָּה שֶׁהִיא מְלֵאָה פֵרוֹת וּנְתָנָהּ עַל הָאִסְקֻפָּה הַחִיצוֹנָה, אַף־עַל־פִּי שֶׁרֹב הַפֵּרוֹת מִבַּחוּץ, פָּטוּר עַד שֶׁיּוֹצִיא אֶת כָּל הַקֻּפָּה.
One who took out foodstuffs and placed them on the threshold, whether he [him-self] subsequently returned and took them out or whether someone else took them out, he is exempt, since he did not perform his work at one time. [One who took out] a basket which was full of produce, and placed it on the outer threshold, even though the greater portion of the produce is outside, he is exempt until he takes out the entire basket.
