אֵין מְבִיאִין אִילָן בְּאִילָן, יָרָק בְּיָרָק, וְלֹא אִילָן בְּיָרָק, וְלֹא יָרָק בְּאִילָן. רַבִּי יְהוּדָה מַתִּיר יָרָק בְּאִילָן.
One may not bring [together] a tree with a tree, nor greens with greens, nor a tree with greens, nor greens with a tree. R’ Yehudah permits greens with a tree.

הַזְּאֵב וְהַכֶּלֶב, כֶּלֶב הַכֻּפְרִי וְהַשּׁוּעָל, הָעִזִּים וְהַצְּבָאִים, הַיְּעֵלִים וְהָרְחֵלִים, הַסּוּס וְהַפֶּרֶד, הַפֶּרֶד וְהַחֲמוֹר, הַחֲמוֹר וְהֶעָרוֹד — אַף עַל פִּי שֶׁדּוֹמִין זֶה לָזֶה, כִּלְאַיִם זֶה בָזֶה.
The wolf and dog, village dog and fox, goats and gazelles, ibex and ewes, horse and mule, mule and donkey, donkey and wild ass — even though they are similar to one another, they are kilayim with one another.
