[ז] הָיָה רֹאשׁ תּוֹר חִטִּים נִכְנָס בְּתוֹךְ שֶׁל שְׂעוֹרִים — מֻתָּר, מִפְּנֵי שֶׁהוּא נִרְאֶה כְּסוֹף שָׂדֵהוּ.
שֶׁלּוֹ חִטִּים וְשֶׁל חֲבֵירוֹ מִין אַחֵר, מֻתָּר לִסְמוֹךְ לוֹ מֵאוֹתוֹ הַמִּין.
שֶׁלּוֹ חִטִּים וְשֶׁל חֲבֵירוֹ חִטִּים, מֻתָּר לִסְמוֹךְ לוֹ תֶּלֶם שֶׁל פִּשְׁתָּן, וְלֹא תֶּלֶם שֶׁל מִין אַחֵר. רַבִּי שִׁמְעוֹן אוֹמֵר: אֶחָד זֶרַע פִּשְׁתָּן, וְאֶחָד כָּל הַמִּינִין. רַבִּי יוֹסֵי אוֹמֵר: אַף בְּאֶמְצַע שָׂדֵהוּ מֻתָּר לִבְדֹּק בְּתֶלֶם שֶׁל פִּשְׁתָּן.
רַבִּי אֱלִיעֶזֶר בֶּן יַעֲקֹב אוֹמֵר: אֲפִילּוּ כָל שָׂדֵהוּ בֵּית כּוֹר, לֹא יַעֲשֶׂה בְתוֹכָהּ חוּץ מִקָּרַחַת אַחַת.
[If] a rosh tor of wheat protruded into a barley [field] — this is permitted, since it looks like the end of his field.
[If] his [field] was wheat and his friend’s was a different species, he is permitted to bring close to it that species.
[If] his [field] was wheat and his friend’s was wheat, it is permitted to bring close to it a furrow of flax, but not a furrow of a different species. R’ Shimon says: As with flax plants, so with all the species. R’ Yose says: Even in the middle of his field he is permitted to check with a furrow of flax.
