[If] one takes wheat to a Cuthean miller or to a miller who is an am haaretz, it retains its [original] status with respect to tithes and sheviis; to a heathen miller, [it is] demai. [If] one deposits his fruit with a Cuthean or with an am haaretz, it retains its [orig-inal] status with respect to tithes and sheviis; with a heathen, it's [status] is like [the heathen's] fruit. R’ Shimon says: it is demai.

One who gives [food] to the proprietress of an inn must tithe that which he gives her, and that which he takes back from her because she is suspected of exchanging [the food]. R’ Yose said: We are not responsible for connivers, he tithes only that which he takes back from her.
