[If] someone harvests his field in patches and leaves moist stalks —- R' Akiva says: He gives peah from each one, and the Sages say: From one for all. But the Sages agree with R' Akiva that someone who plants dill or mustard in three places gives peah from each one.

[If] one plucks out moist onions for the market and keeps dry ones [in the ground] for storage, he gives peah for these by themselves and for these by themselves; and similarly with beans, and similarly with a vineyard. [If] one thins out, he gives from what remains for what he left. But [if] one plucks with a unity of hand, he gives from what remains for the whole.
