בּוֹר בִּרְשׁוּת הָרַבִּים וְחֻלְיָתוֹ גְבוֹהָה עֲשָׂרָה טְפָחִים, חַלּוֹן שֶׁעַל גַּבָּיו מְמַלְאִין הֵימֶנּוּ בְשַׁבָּת.
אַשְׁפָּה בִרְשׁוּת הָרַבִּים גְּבוֹהָה עֲשָׂרָה טְפָחִים, חַלּוֹן שֶׁעַל גַּבָּיו שׁוֹפְכִין לְתוֹכָהּ מַיִם בְּשַׁבָּת.
If a cistern is in a public domain and its embankment is ten fists high, the window above it may [be used to] draw from it on the Sabbath.
If a rubbish heap in a public domain is ten fists high, the window above it may [be used to] pour water into it on the Sabbath.
