הַשֶּׁרֶץ וְהַצְּפַרְדֵּעַ בִּרְשׁוּת הָרַבִּים, נָגַע בְּאֶחָד מֵהֶם וְעָשָׂה טְהָרוֹת וְנֶאֶכְלוּ, טָבַל, נָגַע בַּשֵּׁנִי וְעָשָׂה טְהָרוֹת, הֲרֵי אֵלּוּ טְהוֹרוֹת. אִם קַיָּמוֹת הָרִאשׁוֹנוֹת, אֵלּוּ וָאֵלּוּ תְלוּיוֹת. אִם לֹא טָבַל בֵּינְתַיִם, הָרִאשׁוֹנוֹת תְּלוּיוֹת וְהַשְּׁנִיּוֹת יִשָּׂרְפוּ.
[Regarding] a sheretz and a frog in the public domain, [if] someone touched one of them and prepared tohoros and they were eaten, [and] he immersed, touched the second [object] and prepared tohoros, these [tohoros] are tahor. If the first [tohoros] are still extant, these and those are suspended. If he did not immerse in the interim, the first [tohoros] are suspended and the sec-ond [tohoros] should be burned.

שְׁנֵי שְׁבִילִין, אֶחָד טָמֵא וְאֶחָד טָהוֹר, הָלַךְ בְּאֶחָד מֵהֶן וְעָשָׂה טְהָרוֹת, וּבָא חֲבֵרוֹ וְהָלַךְ בַּשֵּׁנִי וְעָשָׂה טְהָרוֹת, רַבִּי יְהוּדָה אוֹמֵר: אִם נִשְׁאֲלוּ זֶה בִּפְנֵי עַצְמוֹ וְזֶה בִּפְנֵי עַצְמוֹ, טְהוֹרִין. וְאִם נִשְׁאֲלוּ שְׁנֵיהֶם כְּאֶחָד, טְמֵאִים. רַבִּי יוֹסֵי אוֹמֵר: בֵּין כָּךְ וּבֵין כָּךְ, טְמֵאִים.
[Regarding] two paths, one tamei and one tahor, [if] someone walked on one of them and prepared tohoros, and his friend came and walked on the second [path] and prepared tohoros, R’ Yehudah says: If each of them inquired separately, both are [ruled] tahor. [But] if both [people] inquired together, both are [ruled] tamei. R’ Yose says: Either way, both are [ruled] tamei.

שְׁנֵי כִכָּרִים, אֶחָד טָמֵא וְאֶחָד טָהוֹר, אָכַל אֶת אֶחָד מֵהֶם וְעָשָׂה טְהָרוֹת וּבָא חֲבֵרוֹ וְאָכַל אֶת הַשֵּׁנִי וְעָשָׂה טְהָרוֹת, רַבִּי יְהוּדָה אוֹמֵר: אִם נִשְׁאֲלוּ זֶה בִּפְנֵי עַצְמוֹ וְזֶה בִּפְנֵי עַצְמוֹ, טְהוֹרִין. וְאִם נִשְׁאֲלוּ שְׁנֵיהֶן כְּאַחַת, טְמֵאִים. רַבִּי יוֹסֵי אוֹמֵר: בֵּין כָּךְ וּבֵין כָּךְ, טְמֵאִים.
[Regarding] two loaves, one tamei and one tahor, [if someone] ate one of them and pre-pared tohoros and his friend came and ate the second [loaf] and prepared tohoros, R’ Yehudah says: If each of them inquired separately, both are [ruled] tahor. מִי שֶׁיָּשַׁב בִּרְשׁוּת הָרַבִּים וּבָא אֶחָד וְדָרַס עַל בְּגָדָיו, אוֹ שֶׁרָקַק וְנָגַע בְּרֻקּוֹ, עַל רֻקּוֹ שׂוֹרְפִים אֶת הַתְּרוּמָה, וְעַל בְּגָדָיו הוֹלְכִין אַחַר הָרֹב. יָשַׁן בִּרְשׁוּת הָרַבִּים וְעָמַד, כֵּלָיו טְמֵאִים מִדְרָס; דִּבְרֵי רַבִּי מֵאִיר. וַחֲכָמִים מְטַהֲרִין. נָגַע בְּאֶחָד בַּלַּיְלָה, וְאֵין יָדוּעַ אִם חַי אִם מֵת, וּבַשַּׁחַר עָמַד וּמְצָאוֹ מֵת, רַבִּי מֵאִיר מְטַהֵר. וַחֲכָמִים מְטַמְּאִים, שֶׁכָּל הַטֻּמְאוֹת כִּשְׁעַת מְצִיאָתָן.
[Regarding] someone who was sitting in the public domain and one came and tread on his clothes, or spit and he touched his saliva, with regard to his saliva we burn terumah, but with regard to his clothes we follow the majority. [If] he was sleeping in the public domain and then awoke, his clothes are tamei as a midras; [these are] the words of R’ Meir. But the Sages rule [them] tahor. [If] someone touched a person at night, and it is not known whether [that person] was alive or dead, and in the morning he arose and found him dead, R’ Meir rules [that he is] tahor. But the Sages rule [that he is] tamei, because all [uncer-tainties of] tumah are [decided] according to [their status at] the time of their discovery.
