בַּיִת שֶׁאֶחָד מִצְּדָדָיו מְחֻפֶּה בְשַׁיִשׁ, אֶחָד בְּסֶלַע, וְאֶחָד בִּלְבֵנִים, וְאֶחָד בְּעָפָר, טָהוֹר. בַּיִת שֶׁלֹּא הָיוּ בוֹ אֲבָנִים וְעֵצִים וְעָפָר וְנִרְאָה בוֹ נֶגַע, וְאַחַר כָּךְ הֵבִיאוּ בוֹ אֲבָנִים וְעֵצִים וְעָפָר, טָהוֹר.
וְכֵן בֶּגֶד שֶׁלֹּא אָרַג בּוֹ שָׁלֹֹשׁ עַל שָׁלֹֹשׁ וְנִרְאָה בוֹ נֶגַע, וְאַחַר כָּךְ אָרַג בּוֹ שָׁלֹֹשׁ עַל שָׁלֹֹשׁ, טָהוֹר. אֵין הַבַּיִת מִטַּמֵּא בִנְגָעִים עַד שֶׁיְּהֵא בוֹ אֲבָנִים וְעֵצִים וְעָפָר.
A house that one of its sides is covered with marble, or with bedrock, bricks, or earth, is tahor. A house that did not have stones, wood, and clay when a nega appeared on it, and then they built [lit., brought] into it stones, wood, and clay, is tahor.
Similarly, a nega that appeared on a garment that was not three [fingerbreadths] by three [fingerbreadths], and then he wove it [to be] three [fingerbreadths] by three [fingerbreadths], is tahor. A house does not become tamei from negaim unless it contains stones, wood, and clay.
Negaim12: 3
וְכַמָּה אֲבָנִים יְהוּ בוֹ? רַבִּי יִשְׁמָעֵאל אוֹמֵר: אַרְבַּע. רַבִּי עֲקִיבָא אוֹמֵר: שְׁמוֹנֶה. שֶׁהָיָה רַבִּי יִשְׁמָעֵאל אוֹמֵר: עַד שֶׁיֵּרָאֶה כִּשְׁנֵי גְרִיסִין עַל שְׁתֵּי אֲבָנִים אוֹ עַל אֶבֶן אַחַת. רַבִּי עֲקִיבָא אוֹמֵר: עַד שֶׁיֵּרָאֶה כִּשְׁנֵי גְרִיסִין עַל שְׁתֵּי אֲבָנִים, לֹֹא עַל אֶבֶן אַחַת. רַבִּי אֱלִיעֶזֶר בְּרַבִּי שִׁמְעוֹן אוֹמֵר: עַד שֶׁיֵּרָאֶה כִּשְׁנֵי גְרִיסִין עַל שְׁתֵּי אֲבָנִים בִּשְׁנֵי כְתָלִים בַּזָּוִית, אָרְכּוֹ כִּשְׁנֵי גְרִיסִין וְרָחְבוֹ כִּגְרִיס.
How many stones must [the house] have? R’ Yishmael says: Four. R’ Akiva says: Eight. For R’ Yishmael used to say: Until it is the size of two gris on two stones or one stone. R’ Akiva says: Until it is the size of two gris on two stones, not on one stone.
R’ Eliezer bar R’ Shimon says: Until it appears the size of two gris on two stones on two adjacent walls, two gris long and one gris wide.
Negaim12: 4
עֵצִים כְּדֵי לִיתֵּן תַּחַת הַשְּׁקוֹף. רַבִּי יְהוּדָה אוֹמֵר: כְּדֵי לַעֲשׂוֹת סַנְדָּל לַאֲחוֹרֵי הַשְּׁקוֹף. עָפָר כְּדֵי לִיתֵּן בֵּין פַּצִּים לַחֲבֵרוֹ.
קִירוֹת הָאֵבוּס וְקִירוֹת הַמְּחִיצָה אֵינָן מִטַּמְּאִין בִּנְגָעִים. יְרוּשָׁלַיִם וְחוּצָה לָאָרֶץ אֵינָן מִטַּמְּאִין בִּנְגָעִים.
Wood — enough to build a threshold. R’ Yehudah says: Enough to make a ‘‘sandal’’ behind the threshold. Clay — enough to put between the cracks.
Walls of a feeding trough and partition walls do not become tamei from negaim. Jerusalem and outside the Land [of Israel] do not become tamei from negaim.
Negaim12: 5
כֵּיצַד רְאִיַּת הַבַּיִת? “וּבָא אֲשֶׁר לוֹ הַבַּיִת וְהִגִּיד לַכֹּהֵן לֵאמֹר ‘כְּנֶגַע נִרְאֶה לִי בַּבָּיִת.‘ “ אֲפִלּוּ תַּלְמִיד חָכָם וְיוֹדֵעַ שֶׁהוּא נֶגַע וַדַּאי, לֹֹא יִגְזוֹר וְיֹאמַר: “נֶגַע נִרְאָה לִי בַּבָּיִת,|negru|“ אֶלָּא “כְּנֶגַע נִרְאָה לִי בַּבָּיִת.|negru|“ “וְצִוָּה הַכֹּהֵן וּפִנּוּ אֶת הַבַּיִת (וּבְטֶרֶם יָבֹא הַכֹּהֵן לִרְאוֹת אֶת הַנֶּגַע וְלֹֹא יִטְמָא כָּל אֲשֶׁר בַּבָּיִת. וְאַחַר כָּךְ יָבֹא הַכֹּהֵן לִרְאוֹת אֶת הַבָּיִת)|negru|“ — וַאֲפִלּוּ חֲבִילֵי עֵצִים, וַאֲפִלּוּ חֲבִילֵי קָנִים, דִּבְרֵי רַבִּי יְהוּדָה. רַבִּי שִׁמְעוֹן אוֹמֵר: עֵסֶק הוּא לַפִּנּוּי? אָמַר רַבִּי מֵאִיר: וְכִי מַה מִּטַּמֵּא לוֹ? אִם תֹּאמַר כְּלֵי עֵצָיו, וּבְגָדָיו, וּמַתְּכוֹתָיו, מַטְבִּילָן וְהֵן טְהוֹרִים. עַל מֶה חָסָה הַתּוֹרָה? עַל כְּלֵי חַרְסוֹ, וְעַל פַּכּוֹ, וְעַל טִפְיוֹ. אִם כָּךְ חָסָה הַתּוֹרָה עַל מָמוֹנוֹ הַבָּזוּי, קַל וָחֹמֶר עַל מָמוֹנוֹ הֶחָבִיב; אִם כָּךְ עַל מָמוֹנוֹ, קַל וָחֹמֶר עַל נֶפֶשׁ בָּנָיו וּבְנוֹתָיו. אִם כָּךְ עַל שֶׁל רָשָׁע, קַל וָחֹמֶר עַל שֶׁל צַדִּיק.
. Wood — enough to build a threshold. R’ Yehudah says: Enough to make a ‘‘sandal’’ behind the threshold. Clay — enough to put between the cracks.
