צֶמֶר גְּמַלִּים וְצֶמֶר רְחֵלִים שֶׁטְּרָפָן זֶה בָּזֶה: אִם רֹב מִן הַגְּמַלִּים, אֵינָם מִטַּמְּאִין בִּנְגָעִים; אִם רֹב מִן הָרְחֵלִים, מִטַּמְּאִים בִּנְגָעִים; מֶחֱצָה לְמֶחֱצָה, מִטַּמְּאִין בִּנְגָעִים. וְכֵן הַפִּשְׁתָּן וְהַקַּנַּבּוֹס שֶׁטְּרָפָן זֶה בָּזֶה.
Camel’s wool and sheep’s wool that were mixed together: If the majority is from camels, they do not become tamei from negaim; if the majority is from sheep, they become tamei from negaim; [if the wool is mixed] half and half, they become tamei with negaim. The same applies to linen and hemp that were mixed together.
Negaim11: 3
הָעוֹרוֹת וְהַבְּגָדִים הַצְּבוּעִים אֵין מִטַּמְּאִין בִּנְגָעִים. הַבָּתִּים, בֵּין צְבוּעִים בֵּין שֶׁאֵינָם צְבוּעִים, מִטַּמְּאִין בִּנְגָעִים, דִּבְרֵי רַבִּי מֵאִיר. רַבִּי יְהוּדָה אוֹמֵר: הָעוֹרוֹת כַּבָּתִּים. רַבִּי שִׁמְעוֹן אוֹמֵר: הַצְּבוּעִים בִּידֵי שָׁמַיִם מִטַּמְּאִין, וּבִידֵי אָדָם אֵינָן מִטַּמְּאִין.
Colored leather and garments do not become tamei with negaim. Houses, regardless of their color, become tamei with negaim, these are the words of R’ Meir. R’ Yehudah says: Leather is like houses. R’ Shimon says: Those colored naturally [lit., by heaven] become tamei; those [dyed] by man do not become tamei.
Negaim11: 4
ֶּגֶד שֶׁשִּׁתְיוֹ צָבוּעַ וְעֶרְבּוֹ לָבָן, עֶרְבּוֹ צָבוּעַ וְשִׁתְיוֹ לָבָן, הַכֹּל הוֹלֵךְ אַחַר הַנִּרְאֶה. הַבְּגָדִים מִטַּמְּאִין בִּירַקְרַק שֶׁבַּיְּרֻקִּים וּבַאֲדַמְדַּם שֶׁבָּאֲדֻמִּים. הָיָה יְרַקְרַק וּפָשָׂה אֲדַמְדָּם, אֲדַמְדַּם וּפָשָׂה יְרַקְרָק, טָמֵא. נִשְׁתַּנָּה וּפָשָׂה, נִשְׁתַּנָּה וְלֹֹא פָשָׂה, כְּאִילוּ לֹֹא נִשְׁתַּנָּה. רַבִּי יְהוּדָה אוֹמֵר: יֵרָאֶה בַתְּחִלָּה.
A garment whose warp is colored and its weft is white, [or] its weft is colored and its warp is white, is always [judged] according to its appearance. Garments become tamei when greenest of the greens or when reddest of the reds. [If] it was deep green and spread deep red, [or] deep red and spread deep green, it is tamei. [If] it changed and expanded [or] changed and did not expand, it is as if it did not change. R’ Yehudah says: It should be examined anew.
Negaim11: 5
הָעוֹמֵד בָּרִאשׁוֹן יְכַבֵּס וְיַסְגִּיר. הָעוֹמֵד בַּשֵּׁנִי יִשָּׂרֵף. הַפּוֹשֶׂה בַּזֶּה וּבָזֶה יִשָּׂרֵף. הַכֵּהֶה בַּתְּחִלָּה, רַבִּי יִשְׁמָעֵאל אוֹמֵר: יְכַבֵּס וְיַסְגִּיר. וַחֲכָמִים אוֹמְרִים: אֵינוֹ זָקוּק לוֹ. הַכֵּהֶה בָּרִאשׁוֹן, יְכַבֵּס וְיַסְגִּיר. הַכֵּהֶה בַּשֵּׁנִי, קוֹרְעוֹ וְשׂוֹרֵף מַה שֶּׁקָּרַע, וְצָרִיךְ מַטְלִית. רַבִּי נְחֶמְיָה אוֹמֵר: אֵינוֹ צָרִיךְ מַטְלִית.
That which is the same at the end of the first [week] is washed and confined. That which is the same at the end of the second [week] is burnt. That which expands [at the end of] either week is burnt. [If] it turned dull during the initial [inspection], R’ Yishmael says: It is washed and then confined. The Sages say: He does not need to. [If] it turned dull after the first [week], it is washed and confined. [If] it turned dull after the second [week], he tears it out and burns what he tore — and it requires a patch. R’ Nechemiah says: It does not require a patch.
