[ז] דִּינָר שֶׁנִּפְסַל, וְהִתְקִינוֹ לִתְלוֹתוֹ בְּצַוַּאר קְטַנָּה — טָמֵא. וְכֵן סֶלַע שֶׁנִּפְסְלָה, וְהִתְקִינָהּ לִהְיוֹת שׁוֹקֵל בָּהּ — טְמֵאָה. עַד כַּמָּה תִּפָּסֵל וִיהֵא רַשַּׁאי לְקַיְּימָהּ? עַד שְׁנֵי דִינָרִין; פָּחוּת מִכָּאן — יָקוֹץ.
A dinar that became disqualified and one prepared it in order to hang it around a girl’s neck, is tamei. And likewise, a sela that became disqualified, and one prepared it in order to weigh with it, is tamei. To what degree may [a sela] become disqualified and it will [still] be permitted to keep it? Up to two dinars. Less than that, he must cut up [the coin].

[ח] הָאוֹלָר, וְהַקֻּלְמוֹס, וְהַמְּטֻטֶּלֶת, וְהַמִּשְׁקָלוֹת, וְהַכּוּרִים, וְהַכַּן, וְהַכַּנָּא — טְמֵאִים. וְכָל גָּלְמֵי כְלֵי עֵץ — טְמֵאִים, חוּץ מִשֶּׁל אֶשְׁכְּרוֹעַ. רַבִּי יְהוּדָה אוֹמֵר: [אַף] גְּרוֹפִית שֶׁל זַיִת טְהוֹרָה, עַד שֶׁתִּשָּׁלֵק.
An olar, and a pen, and a plummet, and weights, and kurim, and a ruler, and a writing tablet are tamei. And all unfinished wooden utensils are tamei, except for those [made] from eshkeroa. R’ Yehudah says: [A utensil made of] an olive branch is tahor, until its sap is removed.

[א] הַסַּיִף, וְהַסַּכִּין, וְהַפִּגְיוֹן, וְהָרֹמַח, מַגַּל יָד, וּמַגַּל קָצִיר, וְהַשְּׁחוֹר, וְהַזוּג שֶׁל סַפָּרִים, שֶׁנֶּחְלְקוּ — הֲרֵי אֵלּוּ טְמֵאִין. רַבִּי יוֹסֵי אוֹמֵר: הַסָּמוּךְ לַיָּד — טָמֵא, וְהַסָּמוּךְ לָרֹאשׁ — טָהוֹר.
מִסְפֶּרֶת שֶׁנֶּחְלְקָה לִשְׁנַיִם — רַבִּי יְהוּדָה מְטַמֵּא, וַחֲכָמִים מְטַהֲרִין.
A sword, a knife, a dagger, a spear, a hand sickle, a reaping sickle, a trimming scissors, and the scissors of barbers that were separated, they are tamei. R’ Yose says: The [part] closer to the handle is tamei, but the [part] closer to the tip is tahor.
[Regarding] shears that were separated into two [parts]: R’ Yehudah rules [them] tamei, but the Sages rule [them] tahor.

[ב] קוֹלִיגְרִיפוֹן שֶׁנִּטְּלָה כַפָּהּ — טְמֵאָה מִפְּנֵי שִׁנָּהּ. נִטְּלָה שִׁנָּהּ — טְמֵאָה מִפְּנֵי כַפָּהּ.
מִכְחוֹל שֶׁנִּטַּל הַכַּף — טָמֵא מִפְּנֵי הַזָּכָר. נִטַּל הַזָּכָר — טָמֵא מִפְּנֵי הַכַּף.
מַכְתֵּב שֶׁנִּטַּל הַכּוֹתֵב — טָמֵא מִפְּנֵי הַמּוֹחֵק. נִטַּל הַמּוֹחֵק — טָמֵא מִפְּנֵי הַכּוֹתֵב.
זוֹמָאלִסְטְרָא שֶׁנִּטְּלָה כַפָּהּ — טְמֵאָה מִפְּנֵי הַמַּזְלֵג. נִטַּל הַמַּזְלֵג — טְמֵאָה מִפְּנֵי כַפָּהּ. וְכֵן הַשֵּׁן שֶׁל מַעְדֵּר.
שִׁעוּר כֻּלָּן — כְּדֵי לַעֲשׂוֹת מְלַאכְתָּן.
A kaligryphon whose spoon was removed is tamei on account of its teeth. [If] its teeth were removed, it is tamei on account of its spoon.
An applicator whose spoon was removed is tamei on account of its tip. [If] the tip was removed, it is tamei on account of its spoon.
A stylus whose nib was removed is tamei on account of the eraser. [If] the eraser was removed, it is tamei on account of the nib.
A zomalystera whose spoon was removed is tamei on account of the fork. [If] the fork was removed, it is tamei on account of its spoon. And the same applies to the teeth of a tiller.
The measure for all of these is [as much as is necessary] in order to do their work.
