Avot4: 8

הוּא הָיָה אוֹמֵר: אַל תְּהִי דָן יְחִידִי, שֶׁאֵין דָּן יְחִידִי אֶלָּא אֶחָד. וְאַל תֹּאמַר קַבְּלוּ דַעְתִּי, שֶׁהֵן רַשָּׁאִין וְלֹא אָתָּה.

He used to say: Do not judge alone, for none judges alone except One; and do not say, “Accept my view,” for they are permit-ted to, but not you.

Avot4: 9

רַבִּי יוֹנָתָן אוֹמֵר: כָּל הַמְקַיֵּם אֶת הַתּוֹרָה מֵעֹנִי — סוֹפוֹ לְקַיְּמָהּ מֵעשֶׁר. וְכָל הַמְבַטֵּל אֶת הַתּוֹרָה מֵעשֶׁר — סוֹפוֹ לְבַטְּלָהּ מֵעֹנִי.

'RYonasan says: Whoever fulfills the Torah [despite] poverty will ultimately fulfill it in wealth; but whoever neglects the Torah because of wealth will ultimately neglect it in poverty.

Avot4: 10

רַבִּי מֵאִיר אוֹמֵר: הֱוֵי מְמַעֵט בָּעֵסֶק, וַעֲסוֹק בַּתּוֹרָה. וֶהֱוֵי שְׁפַל רוּחַ בִּפְנֵי כָל אָדָם. וְאִם בִּטַּלְתָּ מִן הַתּוֹרָה — יֶשׁ לְךָ בְּטֵלִים הַרְבֵּה כְּנֶגְדָּךְ. וְאִם עָמַלְתָּ בַתּוֹרָה — יֶשׁ לוֹ שָׂכָר הַרְבֵּה לִתֶּן לָךְ.

'RMeir says: Limit your business activities and engage in Torah study. Be of humble spirit before every person. If you should neglect the [study of] Torah, you will be confronted with many causes of neglect; but if you labor in the Torah, He has ample reward to give you.

Avot4: 11

רַבִּי אֱלִיעֶזֶר בֶּן יַעֲקֹב אוֹמֵר: הָעוֹשֶׂה מִצְוָה אַחַת — קוֹנֶה לוֹ פְרַקְלִיט אֶחָד. וְהָעוֹבֵר עֲבֵרָה אַחַת — קוֹנֶה לוֹ קַטֵּיגוֹר אֶחָד. תְּשׁוּבָה וּמַעֲשִׂים טוֹבִים — כִּתְרִיס בִּפְנֵי הַפֻּרְעָנוּת. רַבִּי יוֹחָנָן הַסַּנְדְּלָר אוֹמֵר: כָּל כְּנֵסִיָּה שֶׁהִיא לְשֵׁם שָׁמַיִם — סוֹפָהּ לְהִתְקַיֵּם. וְשֶׁאֵינָהּ לְשֵׁם שָׁמַיִם — אֵין סוֹפָה לְהִתְקַיֵּם.

'REliezer ben Yaakov says: He who fulfills [even] a single mitzvah acquires for himself a single advocate, while he who commits [even] a single transgression acquires for himself a single accuser. Repentance and good deeds are like a shield against mis-fortune. R' Yochanan HaSandler says: Every assembly that is dedicated to the sake of Heaven will endure; but one that is not for the sake of Heaven will not endure.
