The potter may sell [up to] five oil jugs and fifteen wine jugs [to a person], since that is what one can [reasonably] bring from ownerless [property]; but if he brought more than this, it is permitted. He may sell to non-Jews in the Land [of Israel] and to a Jew outside the Land.
Shevi'is5: 8
Beis Shammai say: One may not sell him a plowing cow during the seventh [year]. But Beis Hillel
permit this, since he can slaughter it. One may sell him produce even during the planting season; and he may lend him his seah-measure even though he knows that he has a threshing-floor; and he may change maos into perutos for him, even though he knows that he has workers. But all of these are forbidden if they were stated explicitly.
Shevi'is5: 9
A woman may lend to her friend who is suspected with regard to the seventh [year] a sifter, a sieve, a handmill, and an oven; but she may not sort or grind together with her.
A chaver’s wife may lend to the wife of an am haaretz a sifter and a sieve; and she may sort and grind and sift together with her; but once she adds the water, she may not help her, for it is forbidden to lend support to transgressors.
All these they stated only in the interests of peace. One may offer encouragement to non-Jews during the seventh [year] but not to Jews, and one may inquire into their well-being [in keeping with] the ways of peace.
Shevi'is6: 1
There are three lands with respect to the seventh [year]: All that those ascending from Babylon took hold of, from the Land of Israel up to Keziv, may not be eaten and may not be worked; and all that those ascending from Egypt took hold of, from Keziv to the river and until Amanah, may be eaten but may not be worked; from the river and Amanah inwards may be eaten and worked.
