Another rule was stated: Whatever is not a human food, or an animal food, or a dyestuff, and [whatever] endures in the ground — possesses seventh [-year sanctity], and money [exchanged] for it possesses seventh [-year sanctity]; [but] it is not subject to biur, and money [exchanged] for it is not subject to biur. Which is this? The root of the wild luf, root of the mint, heliotropes, roots of the milky blossom, and the buchriah; and dyestuffs: madder and reseda luteola — these
possess seventh [-year sanctity], and money [exchanged] for them possesses seventh [year sanctity]; [but] they are not subject to biur, nor is money [exchanged] for them to biur. R’ Meir says: Money [exchanged] for them must be used up by Rosh Hashanah. They said to him: They are not subject to biur, how much more so the money [exchanged] for them.
