בְּצָלִים שֶׁיָּרְדוּ עֲלֵיהֶם גְּשָׁמִים וְצִמְּחוּ — אִם הָיוּ הֶעָלִין שֶׁלָּהֶם שְׁחוֹרִין, אֲסוּרִין; הוֹרִיקוּ, הֲרֵי אֵלּוּ מוּתָּרִין. רַבִּי חֲנִינָא בֶן אַנְטִיגְנוֹס אוֹמֵר: אִם יְכוֹלִין לְהִיתָּלֵשׁ בֶּעָלִין שֶׁלָּהֶן, אֲסוּרִין. וּכְנֶגֶד כֵּן, מוֹצָאֵי שְׁבִיעִית מוּתָּרִין.
Onions which were rained upon and sprouted — if their leaves were dark, [they are] forbidden; [if] they become pale, they are permitted. R’ Chanina ben Antigonos says: If they can be plucked by their leaves, they are forbidden. Conversely, [in] the year following the seventh they are permitted.
