הַנּוֹטֵעַ שְׁתֵּי שׁוּרוֹת שֶׁל קִשּׁוּאִין, שְׁתֵּי שׁוּרוֹת שֶׁל דְּלוּעִים, שְׁתֵּי שׁוּרוֹת שֶׁל פּוּל הַמִּצְרִי — מֻתָּר. שׁוּרָה שֶׁל קִשּׁוּאִים, שׁוּרָה שֶׁל דְּלוּעִים, שׁוּרָה שֶׁל פּוּל הַמִּצְרִי — אָסוּר. שׁוּרָה שֶׁל קִשּׁוּאִים, שׁוּרָה שֶׁל דְּלוּעִים, שׁוּרָה שֶׁל פּוּל הַמִּצְרִי, וְשׁוּרָה שֶׁל קִשּׁוּאִים — רַבִּי אֱלִיעֶזֶר מַתִּיר, וַחֲכָמִים אוֹסְרִין.

[If] someone plants two rows of melons, two rows of gourds, [and] two rows of Egyptian bean — [this is] permitted. A row of melons, a row of gourds, [and] a row of Egyptian bean — [this is] forbidden. A row of melons, a row of gourds, a row of Egyptian bean, and a row of melons — R’ Eliezer permits, but the Sages forbid.
