A woman who was eating terumah, [and] they came and said to her: “Your husband has died,” or: “. . . has divorced you”; and similarly, a [Canaanite] slave who was eating terumah, and they came and said to him: “Your master has died,” or: “. . . has sold you to a Yisrael,” or: “. . . has given you as a gift [to a Yisrael],” or: “ . . . has made you a free man”; and similarly, a Kohen who was eating terumah, and it became known that he was the son of a divorcee or the son of a chalutzah, R' Eliezer obligates the principal plus a fifth, but R' Yehoshua exempts. [If] he was standing and offering [a sacrifice] on the Altar, and it became known that he was the son of a divorcee or of a chalutzah, R' Eliezer says: All the offerings that he offered on the Altar are in-valid, but R' Yehoshua deems them valid. [If] it became known that he had a [physical] blemish, his service is invalid.
